The project is aiming to increase the efficiency of Bus system with the help of new AI technology.

Bus bunching, a scenario where two bus arrives at the same station together, is a inherent property of the bus system. By asking bus to stay at station for extended period of time can reduce or even eliminate this phenomenon.

The approach he adopts is Reinforcement Learning, combining serveral methods to train smart bus agents that react to the enviornment. The research is still undergoing, aiming to get published. He wish this can work as a solution that utilize CS and AI to support sustainability development a domain where more light should be directed to.
