Description:

ORGANIC for CLIMATE is a youth-led international social organisation for sustainable food and agriculture. We are developing web-based integrity solutions: creating a single-window knowledge domain that can offer complete advisory and consultancy, providing farm-gate processing units, and for supply chain, providing an e-marketplace to all sustainable/organic products. Organic for Climate aims to become a solution platform for sustainable agriculture, which can offer services like certification, connect producers to market, consultancy for queries about organic agriculture, bring credit support to the small and marginal farmers, research sustainable farming sector, and promote sustainable food systems.

Self Intro:

This is Priya Yadav. I belong to a small village in India. I am a farmer, social entrepreneur, and environmentalist. Being part of the farmers" community, agriculture has been our primary source of livelihood. Working in the fields made me sensitized to the devastating impact of chemical fertilizers on the lives of farmers. Their concerns were far more prioritized for improving the crop yields than their worsening health. This insight took me to the path of social entrepreneurship and Organic for Climate (OfC) came into existence. At OfC, we advocate food system sustainability by helping small and marginal farmers via web-based integrity solutions like research, consultancy, and education programs in sustainable food and agriculture.  Through OfC, I have catered to the needs of farmers who are remote, indigenous, and across borders. During the pandemic, I delivered more than 20+ events addressing the challenges and solutions of sustainable agriculture. While doing a project based on the analysis of the reduction in carbon emissions by replacing conventional crops with organic and sustainable ones, I realized the potential of carbon removal and how it can help my people to prioritise both - health and yield. And that thought defined my next step and I landed in the Carbon Removals team of high-level climate champions. I have always aspired to be impactful. And today my work in the CDR team helps me push climate agendas and breakthroughs to improve the human-nature relationship. Since I am the first graduate of my village, I have decided to secure the representation of my people on global platforms and make their voices heard. My work as a teacher, founder of OfC and team member of CDR have made that happen. Besides these roles, I am part of so many organisations based on climate change advocacy. My motto is integrating local to global. We know that climate change is a global issue. Just like that  climate ambitions will be probable. if they include the say of the people on the forefront of the climate crisis,
